Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely! All my classes are beginner-intermediate level. I’ll make sure that there are different levels available for the more challenging exercises so everyone can be included and get something out of class.

I always try to make my classes as inclusive as possible. I keep to small class sizes (maximum 8 people) so that I can keep an eye on everyone, meet them where they are, and offer appropriate challenge levels to each person. I have an individual-focussed approach to teaching which means that I will try to build a class that is right for the bodies in front of me, and the lesson plan changes every week accordingly.

Bring yourself and wear comfy clothes that you can move in easily. If you have a yoga mat please bring it with you, but I will have one or two spares that clients can borrow until you get your own. I’ll bring everything else including blocks, balls and bands.

Yes, I’m currently offering 1:1s. These will usually take place in your home, I can travel within E17. Private classes can be especially useful if you have specific needs or focus areas, or you can’t make my group classes.

Inclusivity is really important to me and I make efforts where I can to ensure that my classes are as accessible as possible. I have low income spaces available in every class for those who can’t afford my normal rate at the moment. For each exercise I can offer both verbal cues and a visual demonstration. I try to use body neutral language and keep the exercise focus on what your body can do, not what it looks like.

Most classes are £15 per person but I offer up to 2 low income slots in each class. No evidence required. I run these on a ‘pay what you can afford’ basis with a minimum payment of £5. I trust that if your circumstances change and you can afford my typical rate that you will let me know. To book one of my low income slots, just email me at sansonpilates@gmail.com

All of my classes currently take place at the Quaker Meeting House on Jewel Road in Walthamstow. The room has natural lighting, neutral decor, and is well heated. There are no mirrors.
